My name is Micah Marino and I’m a senior Game Design major at Fitchburg State, with a special interest in Audio Design and Composing.
My love for audio and music started in 4th grade, when I started playing percussion in my school’s concert band. I eventually branched out into jazz and rock drumming in middle school and high school, where John Bonham, Buddy Rich, and Neil Peart became my largest influences. By the time I got to my final years at Fitchburg State, I picked up guitar, bass, and piano so I could create my own one-man band.
When I started making games in high school, I realized that I could take my love of music and combine it with my love for making great games. As I started composing music and creating sound effects for my personal projects, I realized that game audio was the aspect of game development I wanted to specialize in.
